(1.6.2) This mod will let you build your very own Pirate Galleon once you get a hold of the technology to do so. There are two ways you can do this,

1. Destroy the Privateer’s Galleon or destroy another player’s(empire’s) Galleon

2. The technology can also become randomly available through research after you research battleships and you will need the tier 6 spaceport to construct them.

There is also a multiplier factor so if you happen to have the “militaristic ethic” the research will be twice as likely to show up. If you have the “fanatic militaristic ethic” the research will be four times as likely to appear.

I polished up this mod and released it on behalf of my firend who was unable to, due to a computer mal-function.

So far this mod appears to be compatible with a wide assortment of mods so you don’t need to worry about it. It does however not get along too well with the Board That Ship! mod to an extent, the mentioned mod appears to overide the research event apon destroying a galleon but you still can aquire the research later on through the random tree so if you want to run both mods together you won’t lose out on the boarding or the buildable technology parts. I did do a bit of overwriting with the Mammalian, Reptilian and Anthropoid ship type asset files in regards to weapon scales so I reckon if you don’t have too many mods that effect those the game will not break/crash.

Bugs:
– When you destroy a galleon, the technology will automatically appear in your research menu so you don’t have to survey its wreckage to get the technology.

– Pillager Galleon section has an extra hanger slot listed that it does not have.

-It is not save compatible, sorry you’ll have to start a new game.
